Overview

The Ted Hawkins Story: Suffer No More is a compilation album. It includes both sides of Ted's 1966 single Baby and three previous unreleased recordings - You're Beautiful To Me (with Elizabeth Hawkins singing backing vocals), Happy Days and Be With Me Jesus. It also contains North To Alaska, another track only available on vinyl or the now deleted Munich Records CD. It's difficult to assess the worth of compilation albums, especially when you've got most of the tracks on other CDs, for me North To Alaska tips the balance. Buy it.

Availability

CD available at most on line record stores. I haven't heard that it's available in the UK. Released January 98 on Rhino records. R2 72956.

Sleeve Notes

The 14 page sleeve notes are as good a mini-bigraphy as you're likely to find. The author of the notes, Jimmy Guterman, has made them available here.
