I'm indebted to Andrew Wheeler for the following information on Ted's stuff that is, as far as I know, only available on vinyl: ON THE BOARDWALK - THE VENICE BEACH TAPES
DOCK OF THE BAY - THE VENICE BEACH TAPES 2
Both these records were recorded during 12-14th Sept 1985 in Nashville and released in the UK 'American Activities' based in Leeds. The LP's feature Ted on his own. Previously available on 2 (now deleted) Munich Records CDs all the tracks on these albums are now available again on 2 CDs - Songs From Venice Beach and Love You Most Of All. However, although they use the same recordings, the tracks have been re-ordered and re-distributed between these CDs so, unlike the Munich Records CDs, they aren't direct CD equivalents of the vinyl LPs. I LOVE YOU TOO
Recorded RAK Studios, London, Jan March 1989. Produced by Ted Hawkins and co-produced by Michael Messer. In response to many queries about this album I have now given it a separate page in the discography - I Love You Too GOLDEN SUNSingle probably released in 1989 ANDY KERSHAW'S GREAT MOMENTS IN VINYL HISTORYCompilation LP featuring a duet of Ted and Billy Bragg (an interesting combination) singing Ted's Cold and Bitter Tears recorded on the 10th Nov 1986 at Leeds University. Jostein Bernstein wrote to me about the following 2 twelve inch singles that he bought in the early 90's. They were issued on the Windows On The World Label in 1987. The tracks are: Watch Your Step
